525HP Hemi V8 for Sale
Giving a breath of fresh air to golden classics such as the last and most loved of all three generations of the Plymouth Baracuda, which eventually fell victim to the 1973 oil crisis, is a difficult task and one that the results are not always to everyone's taste.
While rebuilt from the ground up and given modern touches like the LED tail lamps and 18- and 20-inch Bonspeed Quasar alloy wheels on 245/40/18 front and 295/35/20 rear Nitto Invo tires, this custom built 1970 Plymouth Cuda that was displayed at the 2008 SEMA Show, doesn't overdo it.
Nicknamed the "Conviction Cuda", the car is full of rich details ranging from the Harley-Davidson twin-bulb modular headlights and Corvette-sourced seats, to the specially fabricated door panels and dashboard, and the PPG Silver Star and Vibrants Purfect Purple two-tone paint job.
For power, it relies on an Arrington-built 6.1-liter Hemi V8 producing over 525-horses connected to a Keisler 5-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and a limited slip differential.
No doubt, a lot of money, time and effort were spent to get the Cuda looking how it does now, and that's reflected in the eBay asking price of $149,900 (equal to €109,000).
