Pickup?
Jeep is readying a V8-powered Wrangler for the production line, but if you can’t wait for it to hit dealership lots, this Hemi-powered 2014 Wrangler might be right up your alley.
This custom Wrangler was built by a company called Starwood for the SEMA Show in 2014 and is fitted with a modified 7.0-liter Hemi V8. While no horsepower and torque figures are provided in the listing, we do know that the massive engine is supplemented by a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger and includes forged internals. It also has a fuel system that supports up to 1,200 hp.
Various other modifications have been made, the most obvious of which is the fact the Wrangler has been converted into a small pickup truck. It also features a custom red paint finish and the bed is clad in wood with aluminum rails.
Then we come to the off-road-focused modifications – and there are lots of them. For example, the Wrangler includes a 12,000 lbs Warn winch, various sections of body armor, Icon coilovers, an Icon Duli steering stabilize, and a set of 37-inch Mud tires over the 22-inch Forgiato wheels powder coated with a Monaco Copper finish. There is also a dizzying number of LED lights, including a 50-inch light bar on the roof and LEDs throughout the interior, in the bed, and across the undercarriage.
Buying a Jeep Wrangler that has been converted into a pickup truck and fitted with a supercharged 426 cubic-inch Hemi V8 isn’t cheap. In fact, it has an asking price of $99,000 on eBay. So, do you think it’s worth it or is it way overpriced?
