Chrysler 300 Soldiers On For 2021MY, Will Be
Sold Only In Touring And 300S Forms
The 2021 Chrysler 300 will only be offered in two forms for the latest model year.
A dealer order guide has revealed that the latest 300 will only be offered in Touring and 300S specifications. Touring variants will be offered in rear- and all-wheel drive specifications while the 300S will be sold exclusively with rear-wheel drive. Variants being discontinued are the Limited and 300C trims.
Cars Direct reports that features including Nappa leather, quilted seats, and wood interior trim won’t be available anymore with the demise of the Limited and 300C.
Sitting at the base of the 2021 Chrysler 300 range will be the Touring priced from $31,490 with destination and arriving as standard with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 292 hp and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque while paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Pricing has increased $405 from last year’s Chrysler 300 Touring.
As for the Chrysler 300S, it starts at $38,990 with the same 3.6-liter V6 but upgraded to 300 hp and 264 lb-ft (358 Nm) of torque. Those on the hunt for more power can opt for the 5.7-liter V8 for an extra $4000. This engine is good for 363 hp and 394 lb-ft (534 Nm) of torque and the $42,890 sticker price makes it $1,400 more expensive than the 2020 model.
The Chrysler 300 is thought to be on its last legs and this is no surprise as it has been in production in second-generation guise since December 2010. With the continual shift towards SUVs and crossovers, we wouldn’t be surprised if 2021 is the final year of the model. |
