SuperDodo
The bizarre vehicle you’re looking at may initially seem like a kit car someone has built in their garage but it is actually a 1966 Dodge Polara that’s been molested to such an extent that it should probably be dumped in a pool of molten lava. It is indeed horrible.
We first stumbled upon this car over at the always-entertaining Shitty Car_Mods subreddit and were first confused as to what we were indeed looking at. A little bit of digging reveals images of the car have been circulating online since 2015.
Dodge produced the Polara between 1960 and 1973 but probably never imagined one would be modified to such a horrific extent. Let’s start at the front, shall we?
The owner of the car appears to have taken inspiration from the iconic Plymouth Superbird and possibly the Dodge Super Bee grafting on a new nose that aggressively slopes down towards the pavement. Affixed to this new nose appear to be the headlights of a Nissan Altima, resulting in a truly strange look.
The odd modifications continue on the hood with some rounded fins and what looks to be a badge with a flying bee. The car’s owner clearly has quite a thing for bees as they can be seen across much of the exterior. Then there’s the paint itself which is a light shade of yellow that wouldn’t look good on any car.
Things go from bad to worse at the rear. The Superbird inspiration has continued with the fitment of a towering rear wing that’s at odds with the rest of the car. Also present are taillights from an Altima.
