In addition to announcing equipment level changes for their popular Grand Cherokee range, Jeep UK has also released prices for the 75h Anniversary and SRT Night special edition models.
Changes to the Grand Cherokee for 2016 include the new Start/Stop function and electric steering (with selectable driving modes), which help the car achieve a 14 gram reduction in CO2 levels (184g/km) compared to the previous model year. Diesel versions also get an improved fuel economy, now rated at 40.4 mpg (7.0l/100km). New colors such as Velvet Red, Redline and Ivory Tri-Coat are also available, as is acoustic glass which improves overall cabin experience according to the US automaker.
Inside, there is a new gear level replacing the current e-shifter, plus a revised center stack containing the Sport and Start/Stop buttons. Prices for the Grand Cherokee start at £45,050 OTR for the 3.0 CRD Limited+ version, while the 3.0 CRD Summit costs £52,550 OTR.
With the 75th Anniversary range, Jeep did announce that it would be arriving in the UK back in April, but now we finally know how much customers will need to spend in order to enjoy the special edition badging, 20" bronze alloys, restyled front fascia, new LEDs or the special interior. The price is set at £50,550 OTR and only four colors are available: Recon Green, Bright White, Brilliant Black and Granite.
As for the high performance SRT Night version, only 30 units will be made available to UK buyers, the first of which being ready to ship this month (July).
Priced at £69,865 OTR, this is currently the fastest and most powerful Jeep ever, boasting a more aggressive exterior with lots of gloss black surfaces and 20" Satin Black alloys. The SRT Night is powered by a 6.4-liter V8 petrol unit, good for 475 PS (468 HP) and 624 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. It can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 5 seconds, with a top speed of 257 km/h (160 mph).
