Jeep's Renegade Uncharted Game Showcar Reveals
Map On Body When Temps Rise
This is Jeep's second Renegade showcar, dedicated to the new Uncharted 4 video game that will be released soon.
Dubbed the Jeep Renegade Uncharted Edition, it was created in a partnership between Sony PlayStation Switzerland and the automaker's local division.
Garage Italia Customs was in charge of applying a special wrap to the entire body of the small Jeep, using a special film and innovative black thermochromic paint to conceal the ancient map of Africa, which appears in the game's first official trailer.
As the temperature rises, the paint becomes gradually transparent, letting the wrapping peek through, and disappears entirely at 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), but as the temperature cools down, the Renegade's body turns black again.
"Until June 5, the two Renegade showcars will be on display during the Swiss tour of Sony PlayStation in over 30 stops. One of the cars will be the prize for the winner of a mini game organized especially to celebrate the local partnership between Jeep and Sony PlayStation", Jeep writes.
Both Jeep Renegade Uncharted 4 concepts will be available for booking on the Uber platform, in different Swiss cities, from Geneva, to Basel and Zurich, allowing passengers to sign up for an exclusive competition with prizes consisting of a PlayStation 4 console and an Uncharted 4 video game. |
